Dog Walking Information & Rates:

I walk dogs from 10am-3 pm everyday. Later walks are available by request.

My services include: 30 and 50 minute midday group visits, solo visits for puppies and solo visits for dogs with special needs (if available). I also do evening and weekend visits by request (extra charge). See Rates below…

I focus on small group walks with no more than 3/4 dogs per group. If you have a special needs dog who may need a solo walk, I can evaluate the situation and make a determination. I do this on a case by case basis.

Through texting, You will get daily notifications when I arrive and when the walk is completed. I will always send you a note after the walk and you can be in direct communication with me throughout the day.

Leash, collar, harness and towels, Please leave these items close to your apt door so it is easily seen everyday. Water bowls should be somewhere I can easily find them. Please see Dog Safety section below for my safety policies.

Scheduling and Cancelation Policy

I ask for a 2 hour time window for all walks, except for puppies.

Clients need to cancel by 8 pm the night before a visit to avoid charge, unless snowstorm or other natural emergency. In such cases cancellation is free.

I can't guarantee same day requests but can usually accommodate. There is a small up charge for same day requests

Dog safety is my top priority!

All dogs should have a tight fitting harness and/or collar with dog tags. Prong training collars, gentle leaders and martingale collars are okay instead of a harness, but not in place of a collar with tags.

*I don’t accept loose harnesses, retractable leashes or dogs without tags.

Clients can also supply a small carabiner or safety clip which can attach to both your harness and your collar. Otherwise, All dogs are walked with my back up safety collars.

If getting a new harness, please try to get one that goes on from the head down rather than the legs up. The latter is much harder to put on.

Taking the above precautions will drastically improve the safety of your dog.

Keys and Access to Your Apartment

I will need a set of keys which are labeled with your dog’s name, unless you have a doorman.

Depending on your location, you may have the option to be set up with a secure lockbox for keys. One set of keys should always be in this lockbox for the me.

Door Locks : I always lock all doors unless specified otherwise. If there is a specific lock that you don't want locked you must take the action to disable that lock otherwise I can't guarantee that I won't lock it by accident. The easiest solution is to not give me any keys I won’t need. Also, put tape over the locking mechanism, pin or key hole of any locks that are not in use.

Bad weather

If it’s raining, snowing or freezing, it’s very hard for me to get around and things take a lot longer. Also, I will be out in that bad weather for hours at a time. Therefore, I may have to shorten walk times (mostly for long walks) or else I can’t get to all the dogs who are waiting to go out. Of course, if your dog is a puppy or crated during the day I will still give them their full time but it may be half outside and half inside with cuddle session, playtime, towel dry, etc.
